1 Thomas Dunn 1606 - 1699Umberson enlisted in the Federal Tennessee 13th Regiment Cavalry Company N On February 2nd 1864 at the age of 18. Umberson was captured on September 13th 1864. Umberson escaped prison on September 28th 1865. 13th Regiment Cavalry of Tennessee Company N. Regiment was at the Battle of Saltville.
Umberson and Josephine are listed in the Laurel Bloomery District of Johnson County Tennessee census of the 1900 and the 1910. Umberson and Josephine are in Godfrey Booker Dunn Senior family tree.

Rebecca had the following children Balmer Wydner and Glenn Wydner.Forna mother ran him off at the age of 8. Forna was barefoot and it was snowing. Forna was able to buy a car in 1928. Forna and Margaret were members of the Pilgrim Holiness Church. Forna and Margaret lived at Jenkin Jones West Virginia in a one room dirt floor house also lived in Coopers West Virginia.
I remember going to Aunt Mary's for a funeral up in those West Virginia Mountains and there would be one television station and about two radio stations. Mary lived at Mercer County West Virginia on a mountain top with a beautiful view of the valley below and mountain ridges above. Beautiful on a full lit moon at night. Mary lived at Lynchburg Virginia in the late sixties and early seventies with her sister Margaret. Mary would shop lift at Kmart. Mary would go into the store without a hat and come out of the store with a brand new hat on her head that she had lifted from the store. Mary said that her two nephews of her sister Margaret were ornery. We, Paul and George used to tease her quite a bite being young boys not knowing better.

Mack never married lived with a woman and has no children. Mack being a noted rouge and petty thief spent many a day in jail. Mack lived his whole adult life as an alcoholic. Mack's headstone was provided and set up in the graveyard by his brother Dewight. I Paul Harris his nephew by his sister Margaret is indeed a mean man. Mack would kick me when I was barely old enough to remember things. Mack would come to visit his sister Margaret and would steal some of her husband George's tools and would pawn them for drinking money. I remember my dad George would tell me tales of Mack how he had a girlfriend and that they lived together and his girlfriend would wake Mack up in the morning giving him oral sex. Mack would come to Lynchburg and stay at a down town hotel and he would ask the cabbie where he could get some moonshine and the cabbie complied. Mack would travel all over sometimes he made it to Dayton Ohio. Mack would during the winter months having no place to live get thrown in jail for the winter.

George died of lung cancer on August 18th 1999 at 4:15 PM at Lynchburg Virginia. George is buried at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery on Red House Road at Campbell County Virginia. George is the child of Elbert Lee Harris Sr. and Dora Jane Bell. Jesse Lee Harris, Harry James Harris, Paul Douglas Harris and George Bernard Harris.Margaret was born on the day that her grandmother Margaret Josephine Dunn died. During World War 2 Margaret took a welding class and became a welder at the Maryland Dry dock in Baltimore Maryland. Margaret was 18 then. Margaret married at the ministers house they met on a blind date through his friend James Gillespie and her sister Barbara lived at Bluefield West Virginia.
Margaret finished the eleventh grade during the war when she was 18. Margaret took a welding class and became a welder at the Maryland Dry-dock at Baltimore Maryland. Margaret married and divorced Troy Brock a noted adulterer. Margaret had the marriage annulled after two weeks due to his an adultery. Margaret seen George Harris as he visited a hospital ship anchored there. George was on leave from the Navy of the South Pacific in a construction battalion. George and Margaret are from Coopers West Virginia. Margaret married George Benjamin Harris on August 8th 1946 at Bluefield West Virginia at the ministers house. Margaret and George moved to Lynchburg Virginia in 1968 so George could be closer to his job at Glamorgan Pipe Foundry in Lynchburg. Margaret and George move to Campbell County Virginia in 1986-1987 after they retired due to the high taxes in Lynchburg. George Benjamin Harris also known as Deford after his favorite musician Deford Bailey. George was born on April 20th 1922 at Mercer County West Virginia. George died of lung cancer on August 18, 1999 at 4:15 PM at Lynchburg, Virginia. George is buried at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery at Campbell County Virginia. George and Margaret were members of Union Hill Baptist Church where Margaret and George are buried. Margaret is beside her husband.
George Benjamin Harris, 77 of Concord, died Wednesday, Aug.18, 1999 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Margaret Hill Harris. Born in Coopers, W. Va., April 20,1922, he was a child the late Elbert L and Dora Bell Harris. Mr. Harris was retired from Griffin Pipe Products and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, four sons, Jesse, survive him. Harris, Titusville, Fla., Harry J. Harris, Paul D. Harris and George Bernard Harris all of Lynchburg; two sisters, Lois Fleming of Alhambra, Calif. and Edith Butt of Coopers W. Va., two grand daughters and three grandsons. The Rev. Michael Pope will hold a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery by American Legion Post 16. Margaret Hill Harris, 80, of Concord, died Friday, March 5, 2004, in Rocky Mount.Born Feb. 21, 1924, in Laurel Bloomery, Tenn., she was a child of Forney Byron Hill and Margaret Josephine Dunn Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Benjamin Harris; three sisters, Elzora Hill, Mary H. Able and Ora H. Maxey; and a brother, Mack Hill.She retired as a cook at E.C. Glass High School and was a member of the Union Hill Baptist Church.Surviving are four sons, Jesse Lee Harris of Titusville, Fla., Harry James Harris and Paul Douglas Harris, both of Lynchburg, George Bernard Harris of Martinsville; one sister, Barbara Ann Gillespie of Lynchburg; one brother, Dwight E. Hill of Nashville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Union Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Cliff Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. today at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel.Memorials may be made to Union Hill Baptist Church, 12935 Red House Road, Brookneal, Va. 24528.

Elizabeth Alice Williams married David Simme Rickman Sr. in 1965 at Hillsboro Highland County Ohio. Elizabeth had the following child Ellen Mae Rickman. and the following step children Eunice Rickman and David Simme Rickman Jr. and the following foster child Theresa Brooks.Vernon Young and his first wife Elizabeth raised Liz until she was 5 years old until his wife's death. Elizabeth went to stay with Aunt Alice Woods and Uncle Will Woods who were Anna Jane William's sister. Uncle Will died when Liz was 5 years old and Aunt Alice died when Liz was 13 years old. After Aunt Alice died Elizabeth went back to Vernon Young and Vernon's 2nd wife Edna Jones until almost 18 years old. Elizabeth's sister Barbara and brother in law George Smith took her to Dayton Montgomery County Ohio. Elizabeth lived with them for a while. Elizabeth met Maxie Arrone also known as Max. Elizabeth married Max and Elizabeth had Donna, Robin and Donald also known as Gene. Maxie Arrone abandoned Liz when she was seven months pregnant with Donald never to be heard from again because it was rumored Maxie had kids by another woman and he did not want kids. Maxie was about 30 years old when he married Liz and she was about 18 then in about 1956 and Max is probably dead now he would be about 79 in 2006.
Elizabeth stayed by her self and her three kids in an apartment living at Arlington Courts on Vicksburg Street Dayton Montgomery County Ohio. Elizabeth had two friends Charles and Marie who were a little older than Elizabeth. Elizabeth just socialized with Charles and Marie. Elizabeth met Owen Alsup. Owen tried to talk to Elizabeth and Elizabeth said no. Marie called Elizabeth and Elizabeth went over to Marie's house. Owen talked to Elizabeth and Elizabeth said no. Elizabeth was about twenty-one then and it was about 1959. Marie called and said to bring your kids over for supper. Marie told Elizabeth not to act like that because Elizabeth would not talk to Owen. So Owen wanted to carry the baby Gene home. Owen talked to Elizabeth and said, "Could I see you Saturday night?" Elizabeth went to Marie's House. Marie said "Why don't you talk to him, he is a nice guy." He was in his thirties and married and had two girls with out Elizabeth's knowledge Owen was Charles's friend. Owen wanted to talk to Elizabeth and Owen went out with Elizabeth. Owen was a security guard. Elizabeth, Owen, Marie and Charles went to a dance Owen took Elizabeth home and started talking. Owen wanted to know if Elizabeth had somebody. "Yes" Elizabeth said and that Elizabeth had three kids and Owen wanted to know if they could date and Elizabeth said "yes". Owen took Elizabeth shopping buying Elizabeth stuff and groceries and Elizabeth fell in love with Owen. Then Elizabeth had two of Owen's children Vickie and Tanya. Elizabeth was with Owen on weekends and they never lived together. So Owen split his time with his wife, Elizabeth and his job and Elizabeth was busy with the five kids and Elizabeth had her own place.
Elizabeth had Vickie and Tanya by Owen in three years and one day a lady told Elizabeth that Owen was married and had two girls and they were older than Elizabeth's children and Owen's wife was older than him probably in her forties and had other children not from Owen. Owen told his daughters that they had half sisters and a half brother and they were not interested in Elizabeth's children and Owen became separated from his wife. Two of Owen's brothers and a sister and Owen's sister in law that Elizabeth knew about and they knew about Elizabeth and they all would dine with Elizabeth. Owen's brother and his wife would take Elizabeth around shopping and on errands and stuff. After Elizabeth found out that Owen was married and had children Elizabeth did not want to have anything to do with Owen he was a fraud to her for at least 4 years. Elizabeth never heard from Owen's family again.
Elizabeth had Crystal by Gary McReynolds (MacReynolds) they met at the commodities place. Gary too was a married man though separated at the time for about two years. Elizabeth was moved by her sister Betty and her Husband George Smith back to Hillsboro Highland County Ohio from Dayton Montgomery County Ohio at about 1966 after her relationship with Gary was over. Elizabeth moved to Edna and Vernon Young's home who were the people who earlier had raised Elizabeth since she was 13 and until Elizabeth was almost 18 when Elizabeth left Veron's home to go to Dayton Montgomery County Ohio and returned after she had Crystal by Gary. While in Hillsboro Highland County Ohio she met and married David Rickman. Elizabeth had Ellen. David was divorced from Alice Rickman who had two children by David and they are Eunice Rickman and David Rickman Jr. They are Elizabeth two step children by David Rickman. Elizabeth raised them as well as a foster child Theresa Brooks.
Elizabeth met Paul on a Friday at Dayton's downtown square's "Affair On The Square" concert and they married two months later on August 2nd 1984 at The Biltmore Hotel then they attended a Ricky Nelson concert at the "Affair On The Square" concert and honeymooned at Cincinnati Ohio and went to the Zoo there. Paul was in the USAF there at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and was discharged there in 1982 and went to Wright State University there until he ran out of money and was working there when they married. They moved to Lynchburg Virginia on September 5th 1985 and lived with his parents until the spring of 1987 when they moved to Carrington Road at Lynchburg Virginia.
Ellen moved in to live with them in 1988 and Ellen worked and attended school and Ellen met her husband John LaPrade of Lynchburg Virginia. Ellen moved out and lived with John and his mother in Lynchburg Virginia at various addresses then married John and moved to various addresses in and around Roanoke Virginia and then they moved to Bedford County Virginia and had three children. Ellen then separated from John and moved to Dallas Texas.
Crystal with her three children moved to Lynchburg Virginia in late 1988 or early 1989 from Dayton Montgomery County Ohio. Crystal moved to Wise Street Lynchburg Virginia and then to Fairfield Apartments Lynchburg Virginia with her children sometimes the children stayed with their grandmother Elizabeth a couple of times before Crystal moved back to Dayton Montgomery County Ohio in 1994 or 1995. While crystal was at Dayton Montgomery County Ohio Crystal robbed an elderly woman and attacked her with a knife and stabbed her about 17 times and went to prison for 12 years all for the woman's social security check. Crystal's children went to various people including their fathers and Donna's her sister.
Paul and Elizabeth bought a trailer and moved to Sunnyside Trailer Court at Campbell County Virginia where they live today.
