    1. Owen Owen was born between 1747 and 1750. Owen married Mary Goode also known as Mary Goad. Mary had the folowing child Rachel Owen.
      1. Rachel Owen was born on 1772 at Bedford County Virginia or Carroll County Virginia. Rachel died on about 1845 at Carroll County Virginia. Rachel was buried on 1845 at Tate Goad Cemetery at Burkes Fork Section at Carroll County Virginia. Rachel is the child of Owen Owen and Mary Goode. Rachel married Hendrick Henry Sutphin also known as Shadrack on about December 17th 1788 at Bedford Virginia. Hendrick was born on 1768 at Monmouth New Jersey. Hendrick died on Feburary 12th 1857 at Burks Fork Floyd County Virginia. Hendrick is buried at Tate Goad Cemetery at Burks Fork Section Carroll County Virginia. Hendrick lived on 1850 at Carroll County Virginia next to Owen Hendrick is the child of Mr. Sutphin. Rachel had the following children John Sutphin, Hendrick Sutphin, Mary Sutphin, Owen Sutphin, Katherine Sutphin, Hannah Sutphin, Ellender Elizabeth Sutphin and Daniel Sutphin.

        Hendrick Henry Sutphin married Elizabeth Thompson

        Hendrick Henry Sutphin married Elizabeth Thompson also known as Garman on November 1st 1846 at Surry County North Carolina Elizabeth was born on 1805.

        We do not know where in NJ Hendrick Sutphin was born, nor do we proof of his death date. The Feb. 1857 date comes from the suit filed by his heirs, dated Feb. 1859, "stating he died two years hence." Chancery suit 65, Carroll Co.

        When you enter the Tolbert cemetery from the gate, to the right are unmarked graves. John and Celia HYTON SUTPHIN. At one time there was a fence around the two graves.

        will [thusly]? to be made to the said Edmund Randolph or to his Succefsors. We
        bind ourselves & each of us our & each of our Joint & Several Heirs [Exosis.]? 
        & [admit]? firmly by these presants Sealed with our Seals & dated this 17th 
        day of Dec. ___1788.
        The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there
        is a Marriage Shortly intended to be had & Solomized between the above bound 
        Hendrick Suftin ______ and Rachel Owen ______ Now if there shall be no 
        Lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage the above Obligationto be Void else 
        to remain in full force & virtue.

Lucretia had the following children John Wesley Sutphin, John Anderson Sutphin, Bluford Sutphin, Celia Sutphin, Madison D. Sutphin, Barbara Sutphin and LeGrande Joshua Sutphin.
